Influence of demographic data on the travel behavior of the inhabitants of the Ústí region

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je určení vlivu demografických údajů na cestovní chování obyvatel Ústeckého kraje a nalezení důležitých faktorů jejich cestovních preferencí. Práce se v první části zabývá teoretickými poznatky z oblasti cestovního ruchu. Také je v této části provedena STEEPLED analýza cestovního ruchu, kde jsou shrnuty klíčové faktory makroprostředí. Podrobněji je popsán demografický profil Ústeckého kraje. V další části jsou zmíněny zahraniční studie zabývající se vztahy demografických faktorů a cestovního chování obyvatel. Na základě těchto zahraničních studií jsou formulovány základní hypotézy a je sestaven dotazník. Na data získaná dotazníkovým šetřením jsou aplikovány statistické metody, které nejen ověřují pravdivost stanovených hypotéz, ale také definují klíčové faktory cestovních preferencí obyvatel Ústeckého kraje.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to determine the influence of demographic data on the travel behavior of the inhabitants of the Ústí Region and to find important factors of their travel preferences. The first part deals with the theoretical knowledge of the field of tourism. This part also contains STEEPLED analysis which summarizes key macroeconomical factors. The demographic profile of the Ústí region is described in detail. In the next part are mentioned foreign studies which deal with the relations of demographic factors and travel behavior of the population. Based on these foreign studies, basic hypotheses are formulated and a questionnaire is compiled. Data obtained from the questionnaire survey are tested by statistical methods that not only verify the verity of the hypotheses but also define the key factors of the travel preferences of the inhabitants of the Ústí nad Labem Region.
