Limitation of daily living activities in rheumatoid arthritis

Abstract:

Záměrem této bakalářské práce je poukázat na omezení při provádění běžných denních činností pacientů s revmatoidní artritidou. Teoretická část práce se zabývá charakteristikou revmatoidní artritidy, všedními denními činnostmi a samostatnosti spolu s funkčním zapojením, které jsou pro tyto pacienty problematické, a organizací péče o revmatiky. Praktická část byla zhotovena metodou kazuistiky jednoho probanda, obsahující podrobně odebranou anamnézu, kineziologický rozbor a testování objektivizačními metodami. Výsledkem práce je soubor režimových opatření ve formě informačního plakátu sestaveného na základě odebrané anamnézy a provedených testů, doplněný o nezbytné prvky autoterapie pro běžný denní život. Z praktické části bakalářské práce vyplynuly patrné deficity při provádění personálních i instrumentálních denních činností, které pacienty omezují ve vedení kvalitního, a plnohodnotného života. Na základě praktické i teoretické části byla navržena režimová opatření s prvky autoterapie, která mohou usnadnit život revmatikům a rozšířit obzory o revmatoidní artritidě a jejich úskalích široké veřejnosti.

Abstract:

The purpose of this thesis is to underline limitations to activities of daily living (ADL) in patients with rheumatic arthritis. The theoretical part encompasses an introduction and characteristics of rheumatic arthritis, ADL with independence, and functional engagement, which are problematic to these patients, together with organization of rheumatic patient care. The empirical part is conducted through the case history method on one proband including a meticulously collected anamnesis and conducted tests, kinesiology analysis and objective methods of testing. The outcome of the thesis is a set of daily routine measures in the form of an information leaflet based on the collected anamnesis and conducted tests, complemented by essential elements of autotherapy for the everyday life. More specifically, the empirical part identified noticeable deficits in carrying out both personal and instrumental daily activities, which limit patients in living a quality and full life. Based on both the theoretical and empirical findings, daily routine measures with autotherapy elements have been designed. These measures could facilitate the lives of rheumatic patients and raise public awareness about rheumatic arthritis and its difficulties.
