Motivation profile of Generation Z representatives

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem lidské motivace jedné generační skupiny v oblasti pracovního života. Cílem této práce je provést analýzu pracovní motivace zaměřenou na Generaci Z a zjištění jejího motivačního profilu, tedy konkrétních motivů, postojů, hodnot a preferencí v oblasti pracovního života. Teoretická část práce představuje základní pojmy vztahující se k tématu motivace a vybrané motivační faktory, které na jedince působí v zaměstnání. Jádrem praktické části je provedení výzkumu, který využívá kvantitativní metodu na bázi dotazníkového šetření a doplňkovou kvalitativní metodu v podobě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Součástí praktické části je i sekundární výzkum, který je následně využit pro srovnání Generace Z s předchozími generacemi (X a Y). V závěru práce se nachází formulace doporučení pro zaměstnavatele pro tvorbu motivačního systému, kde jsou představeny faktory a příslušné nástroje, které jsou vhodné k motivaci Generace Z.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of human motivation of one generation group in the field of working life. The aim of this work is to analyze work motivation focused on Generation Z and to determine its motivational profile, i.e. specific motives, attitudes, values and preferences in the field of working life. The theoretical part of the work presents the basic concepts related to the topic of motivation and selected motivational factors that affect individuals in employment. The core of the practical part is the implementation of research, which uses a quantitative method based on a questionnaire survey and an additional qualitative method in the form of semi-structured interviews. Practical part also includes secondary research, which is then used to compare Generation Z with the previous generations (X and Y). At the end of the thesis there is a formulation of recommendations for employers for the creation of a motivation system, which presents the factors and relevant tools that are suitable for the motivation of Generation Z.
