The Dynamics in Michel Tremblay's "Cycle des Belles-soeurs"

Abstract:

In the 1960s and 1970s Quebec witnessed many political, social and cultural changes. These changes are reflected in the literary works of the French writing Michel Tremblay. The diploma thesis deals with the dynamics which shaped the author’s work and contributed to its timelessness. Five plays written are analyzed : A toi, pour toujours, ta Mari-Lou; Hosanna; Bonjour là, bonjour; Sainte Carmen de la Main; Damnée Manon, sacrée Sandra. The attention is focused on the conflict of textual and extratextual aspects (realism vs. lyricism) at the level of language, genre and writer.

Abstract:

V 60. a 70. letech 20.století Quebec prošel řadou politických, sociálních a kulturních změn. Dílo francouzsky píšícího spisovatele Michela Tremblaye představuje nedílnou součást této transformace a to nejen v oblasti literatury. V diplomové práci je na pěti dramatech (A toi, pour toujours, ta Mari-Lou; Hosanna; Bonjour là, bonjour; Sainte Carmen de la Main; Damnée Manon, sacrée Sandra) analyzována dynamika, která utvářela autorovo dílo té doby a zajistila mu nadčasovost. Pozornost je zaměřena na dynamiku vyplývající ze střetu textových a mimotextových aspektů (realismus vs. lyrismus) na rovině jazykové, žánrové a autorské.
