Social work in cooperation with a non-governmental organization in remand prison Ostrava

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo popsat činnost sociálního pracovníka a nestátních organizací působících ve Vazební věznici Ostrava. V teoretické části je popsána Vězeňská služba a důsledky uvěznění pro člověka. Další kapitoly se věnují sociální práci, činnostem dalších odborníků a externích organizací ve věznici. Cílem aplikační části bylo zmapovat spokojenost vězněných osob s působením externích organizací a zároveň zjistit, zda je záznam v rejstříku trestů překážkou k získání zaměstnání. Aplikační část byla zpracovaná metodou pilotáže. Jako technika sběru dat byl použit dotazník. Vyhodnocením aplikační části se zjistilo, že externí organizace působící ve Vazební věznici Ostrava mají důležitou roli při práci s vězněnými osobami. Další výsledek potvrdil tvrzení, že záznam v rejstříku trestů je překážkou k získání zaměstnání.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to describe the activities of a social worker and non-governmental organizations operating in the Ostrava Remand Prison. The theoretical part describes the Prison Service and the consequences of imprisonment for humans. The next chapters are devoted to social work, the activities of other experts and external organizations in prison. The aim of the application part was to map the satisfaction of prisoners with the activities of external organizations and at the same time to determine whether the entry in the criminal record is an obstacle to obtaining employment. The application part was processed by the piloting method. A questionnaire was used as a data collection technique. The evaluation of the application part revealed that external organizations operating in the Ostrava Remand Prison have an important role in working with prisoners. Another result confirmed the claim that a criminal record is an obstacle to getting a job.
