Constitutional Position of Local Governments in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce se zabývá ústavním postavením územně samosprávných celků v České republice a důvodem jejího napsání bylo přiblížení jejího fungování občanům našeho státu v jejím historickém vývoji až po současnou dobu. Toto téma je velice rozsáhlé, proto bych se pokusila územně samosprávné celky popsat v kostce, aby práce byla pochopitelná i pro širší veřejnost. Cílem práce bylo vysvětlení pojmů správa, státní samospráva, samospráva a územní samospráva. Jak územní samospráva fungovala kdysi, jak se vyvíjela a jak funguje v dnešní době. Budu se zabývat samostatnou a přenesenou působností obcí a krajů, orgány obcí a krajů, a také dozorem nad územně samosprávnými celky.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis deals with the constitutional status of territorial self-governing units in the Czech Republic and the reason for its writing was to bring its functioning to the citizens of our state in its historical development up to the present time. This topic is very extensive, so I would try to describe the territorial self-governing units in a nutshell so that the work is understandable for the wider public as well. The aim of the thesis was to explain the terms administration, state administration, self-government and territorial self-government. How did the local government function once, how it evolved and how it works today. I will deal with the independent and delegated powers of municipalities and regions, authorities of municipalities and regions, as well as supervision of territorial self-governing units.
