Project-based Learning in Czech Language Lessons in 2nd Grade of Primary Education

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je posoudit možnosti využití projektové výuky v rámci předmětu český jazyk. Za tímto účelem jsou nejprve zkoumána specifika projektové výuky – její charakteristické rysy, způsob její realizace i různé druhy projektů. Dále diplomová práce obsahuje pojednání o cílech a současném pojetí výuky českého jazyka se zaměřením na praktické cíle a slohovou a komunikační výchovu. V praktické části je prezentován plán a průběh projektu nazvaného Jaké pořady sledujeme? Jak je hodnotíme?, který jsem realizovala v 8. třídě základní školy. Projekt je zaměřen na rozvoj kritického myšlení žáků, jejich receptivních a produktivních komunikačních dovedností. Popis plánu projektu a jeho průběhu, jeho reflexe a hodnocení mohou sloužit pedagogické veřejnosti jako metodický podklad pro realizaci vlastního podobně zaměřeného projektu.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to consider the potential of project-based learning to be realized usefully in Czech language lessons. For this aim the characteristics of project-based learning are examined – its typical features, the way of its realization and its different types. Next the diploma thesis includes an essay on the aims and contemporary concept of Czech language teaching, concentrating on practical aims and style and communication education. In the practical part the project called What programmes do we watch? How do we assess them? is presented. I carried it out in the 8th grade in a primary school. The project is focused on developing pupils’ critical thinking abilities, their receptive and productive communicative skills. The description of the plan and realization of the project as well as its reflection and evaluation can serve as methodological material for teachers that would like to use it on their own.
