Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou připravenosti České republiky, Maďarska a Polska na vstup do eurozóny a historickým vývojem otázky jednotné hospodářské a měnové unie a její postupné realizace. Diplomová práce je rozčleněna do tří hlavních tematických celků. První tematický celek reflektuje historický vývoj hospodářské a měnové unie a analyzuje konvergenční kritéria, důležitá pro zajištění stability eurozóny. Druhý tematický celek rozebírá vznik a fungování eurozóny a přináší rozbor nástrojů hospodářské a měnové unie. Třetí tematický celek analyzuje připravenost České republiky, Maďarska a Polska na přijetí eura z pohledu plnění konvergenčních kritérií a doporučení ze strany Rady. V závěru diplomové práce shrnuji a definuji výsledky jednotlivých tematických celků a porovnávám připravenost České republiky, Maďarska a Polska na vstup do eurozóny.

Abstract:

This thesis describes the issues of readiness of the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland to access the euro-zone. Furthermore it describes the historical process of unified economic and monetary union and its gradual formation. It is divided in three main sections. The first one reflects the historical development of economic and monetary union and analyses convergence criteria important to ensure the stability of euro-zone. The second part handles with the formation and functioning of euro-zone and studies the instruments of economic and monetary union. The third part analyses the preparedness of the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland to accept EUR from the perspective of their fulfillment of convergence criteria and from the point of view of the recommendations of the Council of the European Union. In conclusion I summarize the topic; I define results of each part of the thesis and compare the readiness of the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland to access the euro-zone.
