Discrimination in the Multicultural World with Regard to Positive Discrimination

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je věnována diskriminační problematice, přičemž stěžejním tématem je pozitivní diskriminace (afirmativní akce). Na začátku práce se věnuji diskriminaci obecně a také antidiskriminační legislativě. Stěžejní část bakalářské práce je zaměřena na pozitivní diskriminaci v rovinně obecné i v rovinně konkrétní (afirmativní akce v multikulturním světě). Nedílnou součástí práce je praktická část skládající se z výzkumného šetření zaměřeného na afirmativní akci v akademickém prostředí v USA.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of discrimination, where the central issue is positive discrimination (affirmative action). At the beginning of the bachelor thesis, I devote to discrimination in general and anti-discrimination legislative too. The main part of the thesis is focused on positive discrimination in general level and in specific level (affirmative action in the multicultural world). An integral part of this thesis is the practical part consisting of the research focused on the affirmative action in academic milieu in the United States of America.
