Testing the performance of youth in floorball

Abstract:

Cílem mé diplomové práce bylo srovnat výkonnost mládežnických kategorií ve hře florbal napříč celou Českou republikou. Ve spolupráci s Českým florbalem jsem porovnával jednotlivé regiony u nás, abych došel k závěru, zda jsou zde velké rozdíly ve výkonnosti. Dalším mým cílem bylo srovnání roku 2016 s rokem 2019, přičemž jsem sledoval, jestli došlo k progresu nebo poklesu ve výkonech hráčů. Pro hodnocení hráčů byla vytvořena speciální testovací baterie. Celý soubor byl sestaven z prvků, které jsou zaměřeny na konkrétní pohybové schopnosti a dovednosti potřebné pro realizaci herního výkonu. Prvky se vzájemně doplňují a jejich kombinace se snaží zachytit komplexní připravenost jednotlivého hráče. Při vybírání testů byl důraz kladen hlavně na provedení a jednoduchost v organizaci, ale současně i na specifičnost, platnost, objektivitu a spolehlivost. Výsledky naznačují, že nejhorších výkonů dosahovali hráči v Kraji Karlovarském. Kteří v několika disciplínách dosáhli podprůměrných výsledků. Naopak dobře si vedli probandi v kraji Moravskoslezském, těm se podařilo ve velkém množství disciplín dosáhnout nejlepších výsledků v rámci celé České republiky. Porovnání výsledků mezi roky 2016 a 2019 ukazují, že v roce 2019 dopadla testová baterie lépe. Takže můžeme hovořit o tom, že dochází k nárustu výkonnosti u našich florbalových nadějí. Studie se zúčastnil soubor hráčů hrající ligové soutěže pod záštitou České florbalové unie. Jednalo se pouze o mládežnické celky. V roce 2016 se výzkumu zúčastnilo celkem 820 hráčů a v roce 2019 byl počet testovaných dokonce 930. Statistická analýza dat byla vyhodnocena pomocí programu IBM SPSS Statistic 23 a Excel 2016.

Abstract:

The aim of thesis is to compare the performance of young floorball players in Czech Republic. In collaboration with the Czech Republic Union, I compared each region in our country in order to come with conclusion whether there are many differences in their performance. My second goal was to compare the performance of players in 2016 and 2019. To be more concrete, I needed to find out wheter their performance has been increasing or decrerasing during this time. For grading of these players it has been created a special testing scale. This testing scale has been created from elements which are focused on the concrete movement ability and skills needed for realisation of the playing performance. These elements are completing each other and their combination tries to attach the complex preparedness of each player. During choosing tests there has been put emphasis especially in simplicity, validity and objectivity. The results show that the worst perfomance showed players from Karlovy Vary Region which reached below-average score in several disciplines. On the other hand the best players were respondents from Moravian-Silesian Region. These players showed the best performance in many disciplines within Czech Republic. The comparism between years 2016 and 2019 shows that in 2019 the grading scale reached the best results. In conclusion, we would say that the performance of our florbal players increases. Participants of this study were groups playing league competions under the auspices of The Czech floorball Union. Only young categories are included in this study. In 2016 there was 820 participants and in 2019 there were even 930 tested participants. The statistical analysis of the data was done by IBM SPSS Statistics 13 and Excel 2016.
