Psychosocial Aspects in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus II Type

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá psychosociálními aspekty u osob s diabetem mellitem II. typu. Teoretická část je sestavena ze tří částí. V první části je charakterizován diabetes mellitus II. typu, klinický obraz, diagnostika, terapie a komplikace. Druhá část je zaměřena na psychosociální aspekty, resilienci a sociální oporu. Třetí část obsahuje hodnoticí škály psychosociálních aspektů. Praktická část je zaměřena na zjištění a zhodnocení psychosociálních aspektů u osob s diabetem mellitem II. typu se zaměřením na psychosociální stres, míru deprese a míru sociální opory. Kvantitativní výzkumné šetření bylo provedeno technikou dotazníku složeného ze tří standardizovaných dotazníků (škála Diabetes Distress Scale, Zung Self-rating Depression Scale, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support) a z položek vlastní konstrukce zaměřených na zajištění základních zdravotních a sociodemografických údajů. Výzkumného šetření se zúčastnilo 108 respondentů (58 mužů a 50 žen), průměrný věk respondentů je 65 let. Z výzkumu bylo zjištěno, že ženy mají větší náchylnost k depresím a úzkostem než muži. Sociální oporu mají muži nižší než ženy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with psychosocial aspects in people with type II diabetes mellitus. The theoretical part consists of three parts. The first part characterizes type II diabetes mellitus, clinical picture, diagnosis, therapy and complications. The second part focuses on psychosocial aspects, resilience and social support. The third part contains assessment scales of psychosocial aspects. The practical part is aimed at identifying and assessing psychosocial aspects in people with type II diabetes mellitus, focusing on psychosocial distress, depression levels and social support. The quantitative research investigation was conducted using a questionnaire technique consisting of three standardized questionnaires (Diabetes Distress Scale, Zung Self-rating Depression Scale, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support) and self-constructed items aimed at providing basic health and sociodemographic data. 108 respondents (58 males and 50 females) participated in the survey, with an average age of 65 years. From the research, it was found that women are more prone to depression and anxiety than men. Men have lower social support than women.
