Libraries' outdoor activities with elements of land art for preschool childrena and primary schools' pupils

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se bude zabývat knihovními aktivitami na podporu čtenářství a zájmu o knihy konanými v případných exteriérech knihovny, popřípadě ve venkovním prostředí v širším smyslu. Aktivity by měly být zaměřeny na děti v předčtenářském nebo raně čtenářském věku a koncipovány k motivaci ke čtení s přihlédnutím k prvkům land artu jako jedné z možností pasivní i aktivní činnosti při těchto aktivitách. Teoreticky se zaměříme na děti a dětské čtenářství, charakterizujeme si land art a jeho současné využití při rozvoji tvořivosti například v mateřských školách. V praxi poté metodou rozhovoru s pracovníky dětských oddělení vytipovaných knihoven ověříme konání venkovních aktivit na podporu dětského čtenářství a ve spolupráci s nimi se také pokusíme navrhnout nové akce na podporu dětského čtenářství s využitím prvků land artu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with library activities to support reading and interest in books held in exteriors of the library, or in the outdoor environment in a broader sense. The activities should be aimed at children of pre-reading or early reading age and designed to motivate reading, taking into account the elements of land art as one of the possibilities of passive and active activity in these activities. Theoretically, we will focus on children and children's reading, we characterize land art and its current use in developing creativity, for example, in kindergartens. In practice, we will verify the outdoor activities in support of children's reading by interviews with the staff of children departments of selected libraries and in cooperation with them we will also try to propose new actions to support children's reading using elements of land art.
