Historiography of Renaissance Philosophy: from Burckhardt to the present

Abstract:

Tato práce je komparací dvou odlišných pohledů na renesanční období. Jsou to optimistický přístup Burckhardtův a pesimistický přístup Delumeauův. Snažila jsem se upozornit na skutečnost, že se podobná hlediska mohou jevit různá, pokud jsou prezentována odlišnými pohledy obou historiografů. Zároveň práce poukazuje na to, že se tyto dvě koncepce navzájem doplňují, což přispívá k lepšímu pochopení pojmu renesance jako takové.

Abstract:

This work is a comparison of two different views of the Renaissance period. They are optimistic and pessimistic approach Burckhardt and Delumeau access . I tried to draw attention to the fact that such a view may appear different when different views are presented both historian . At the same time work points out that these two concepts are complementary , which contributes to a better understanding of the concept of the Renaissance itself.
