The Sense of Security in the City of Rome during the Republic and the Principate
Abstract:
Tato magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou bezpečnosti v městě Římě v období pozdní republiky a na začátku principátu. Primárním cílem je zmapovat, jakým způsobem se nepokoje z konce republiky projevily na bezpečnosti města a jakým způsobem se autority pokoušely potlačit na tom závisející vzrůst kriminality.
Abstract:
This master thesis examines the issue of the sense of security in the city of Rome during The Late Republic and Early Principate. The primary objective is to map out how the riots at the end of the Republic affected the city's security and how the authorities tried to suppress the increasing crime rate.
