Urinary catheter as a cause of infection

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem práce bylo zmapovat vliv preventivních strategií na vznik infekce urinálního traktu v souvislosti se zavedeným močovým katétrem. Metodika: Metodou průzkumu byla metoda praxe založené na důkazu. Po stanovení klinické otázky dle PICO rámce byly vyhledávány studie v elektronických databázích. Nalezené studie byly dále hodnoceny dle zvolených kritérií. Nalezené důkazy byly hodnoceny dle tabulky pro hodnocení úrovně důkazů ? Level of evidence. Výsledky: Dle nalezených a hodnocených studií je možno tvrdit, že nebyly nalezeny silné důkazy, které by jednoznačně potvrdily nebo vyvrátily vliv preventivních strategií ? standardní použití urinálního katétru potaženého stříbrem, hygiena rukou či stanovení optimální délky zavedení močového katétru, u pacientů se zavedeným močovým katétrem, na výskyt infekce močových cest. Závěr: Silné důkazy, které by jednoznačně potvrdily nebo vyvrátily vliv preventivních strategií, sice nebyly nalezeny, přesto se podařilo nalézt validní a relevantní informace, které mohou být přínosné v péči o katetrizované nemocné v podmínkách českého ošetřovatelství.

Abstract:

Objective: The target of this thesis is prevention strategy to effect to formation infection of urinary tract in relation with bladder catheterisation. Methodology: Survey method was the method of evidence-based practice. After determining the clinical questions by PICO framework studies were searched in electronic databases. Finding of the study were evaluated according to selected criteria. Found the evidence was evaluated according to the table for evaluation of evidence - Level of evidence. Results: According to the studies reviewed found and it can be argued that they were not found strong evidence that would unequivocally confirm or disprove the impact of preventive strategies - standard application of uinary catheter coated with silver, hand hygiene and the optimal length of the introduction of urinary catheter, in patients with established urinary catheter, presence of urinary tract infections. Conclusion: Strong evidence that would clearly confirmed or disproved the impact of prevention strategies were not found, however, have found a valid and relevant information to that can be useful in the care of catheterised patients in nursing of the Czech.
