Interpersonal relations in the Intensive Care unit

Abstract:

Problematika interpersonálních vztahů je aktuálním multidisciplinárním problémem. V resortu zdravotnictví je o to významnější, neboť výrazně ovlivňuje nejen pracovní kli-ma, ale i efektivitu práce. V teoretické části je věnována pozornost vymezení interperso-nálních vztahů na pracovišti, analyzována je problematika bossingu a mobbingu, v neposlední řadě jsou analyzovány faktory násilného chování na pracovišti. Vedle dů-sledků těchto negativních sociálních jevů jsou prezentovány i preventivní strategie ve vztahu ke specifickým podmínkám v prostředí českého zdravotnictví. Empirická část práce má charakter statistického výzkumného šetření za použití techniky dotazníku vlast-ní konstrukce. Výběrový soubor byl tvořen 164 respondenty (N=164). Statistické šetření testovalo celkem 16 nulových hypotéz. V diskusi byly představeny dilemata zkoumaného problému a představené návrhy a opatření by měly pozitivně ovlivnit problematiku inter-personálních vztahů v prostředí velmi exponovaných nemocničních pracovišť.

Abstract:

The issue of interpersonal relationships represents a contemporary multidisciplinary problem. Regarding health care department, the issue is even more important because it significantly affects not only a work climate but also work efficiency. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of interpersonal relationships at a workplace, it analyses the issues of bossing and mobbing and, last but not least, it examines the factors of vio-lent behaviour at a workplace. Besides the impacts of the mentioned negative social phe-nomena, preventive strategies in relation to the specific conditions of Czech health care are introduced. The empirical part presents a statistical research survey using the tech-nique of a self-constructed questionnaire. The control sample has been formed by 164 respondents (N=164). The statistical survey has tested 16 null hypotheses in total. The discussion introduces the dilemmas of the examined problem and, also, suggestions and measures which are intended to have a positive impact on the issue of interpersonal rela-tionships in the environment of prominent hospitals.
