Bakalářská práce se ve své teoretické části zabývá vyjádřením modality v německém jazyce, a to jak modality objektivní, tak modality subjektivní. V úvodních kapitolách jsou prezentovány možnosti vyjádření modality v německém jazyce. Stěžejní pozornost je přitom věnována modálním slovesům.
