Fixed Assets from the Point of View of Accounting and Taxes

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Dlouhodobý majetek z pohledu účetnictví a daní“ je zaměřena na objasnění specifik a diferenciací mezi účetní a daňovým pohledem na odepisování dlouhodobého majetku, jakož i na identifikaci a řešení aktuálních sporných otázek, týkajících se této oblasti po velké novelizaci zákona o daních z příjmů. V jejím rámci je v první řadě řešeno odepisování dlouhodobého hmotného a nehmotného majetku z pohledu účetnictví a dále odepisování hmotného majetku z pohledu daní z příjmů, neboť především právě správný úvod do problematiky bude sloužit jako pevný pilíř pro rozbor a demonstraci novinek v zákonu o daních z příjmů. Po vymezení nezbytných daňových východisek je komplexně uceleně rozebírána problematika efektivního stanovení odpisů tak, aby bylo dosaženo nižšího základu daně a tím i nižší splatné daně vedoucí k efektivní daňové optimalizaci. V této souvislosti je rovněž vyzdvižena řada novinek, které zákon přináší. Jednou z nich jsou mimořádné odpisy.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis "Fixed assets from the point of view of accounting and taxes" aims to clarify the specifics and differentiations from the perspectives of accounting and taxation in the depreciation of fixed assets. Moreover, the objective of the thesis is also to identify and suggest a solution to the current disputable issues in this area, especially after the recent amendment of the Income Tax Act. The first part of the thesis attempts to differentiate between the depreciation of tangible and intangible fixed assets. For a solid introduction is a key to analyzing and demonstrating the novelties of the Income Tax Act. After the essential terminology is defined, the thesis continues to comprehensively discuss the problematics of an effective tax depreciation in order to achieve a lower tax base and therefore to have a lower final tax due. This shows an example of effective tax optimization. In the end, a few of the novelties such as bonus depreciation, recently introduced to the law, will be presented in the thesis as well.
