Age Management in Social Services in the Zlín Region

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zabývám využíváním principů age managementu v organizacích poskytujících sociální služby ve Zlínském kraji. Teoretická část práce popisuje jednak obecnou charakteristiku managementu sociálních služeb, jeho legislativní ukotvení v ČR a odlišnosti, kterými se tato oblast vyznačuje, jednak popisuje koncept age managementu a možnosti širší aplikace v sociálních službách. V neposlední řadě se věnuje také staršímu pracovníkovi, jehož plnohodnotnému pracovnímu uplatnění mnohdy brání předsudky zaměstnavatelů, sociální vztahy na pracovištích i malá informovanost personalistů a klíčových pracovníků o problematice spojené se stárnutím zaměstnanců. Na teoretickou část navazuje část praktická, která byla realizována formou kvantitativního výzkumu dotazováním. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit výskyt age managementu na pracovištích poskytujících sociální služby ve Zlínském kraji.

Abstract:

In my diploma thesis I focus on usage of age management principles in organizations providing social services in Zlín Region. The theoretical part describes both the general characteristics of social services manage-ment, its legislative framework in the Czech Republic and differences of this region; it also describes the concept of age management and possibilities of its wider application in social services. Last but not least, it focuses on an older worker, whose fully-fledged work life is often obstructed by prejudice of employers, social relationships at workplaces and lack of information from human resources officers and key workers about issues related to aging of employees. The theoretical part is followed by a practical part, which was realized in a form of quanti-tative questioning survey. The aim of the research was to determine the presence of age management at workplaces providing social services in Zlín Region.
