Outlook-towers and outlook-places as landscape elements, regional landmarks and attractors of tourism

Abstract:

Diplomová práce popisuje rozhledny jako sociokulturní fenomén České republiky z pohledu historie i z hlediska současného rozvoje měst a regionů. Práce definuje vyhlídkové stavby a jejich typy, popisuje socioekonomické podmínky vzniku rozhleden, jejich historii a současný rozhlednový boom. Zmíněny jsou netradiční rozhledny světových architektů i kreativní studentské návrhy a řešení vyhlídkových staveb v České republice. Popsány jsou hlavní hrozby rozhleden, včetně otázky jejich ekonomické návratnosti. Cílem práce je nastínit možná řešení ochrany, financování, marketingu, propagace a případné spolupráce rozhleden v regionech České republiky. Podrobněji zkoumanou tématikou jsou česká webová rozhraní týkající se rozhleden. U těchto rozhraní byla provedena analýza jejich současného stavu a byla navržena doporučení vedoucí k celkovému zkvalitnění rozhlednových internetových stránek, především z hlediska uživatelů.

Abstract:

This thesis describes an outlook-towers phenomenon of the Czech Republic from the perspective of history and also from the point of view of contemporary urban and regional development. The thesis defines the outlook-towers' constructions and their types, describes the socio-economic conditions of their creation, their history and past and present boom. Mentioned are unusual tower of the world architects and students' creative proposals and solutions of outlook buildings in the Czech Republic. Described are main threats of outlook-towers including their economic return. The aim of the thesis is to outline possible solutions of retrieval, financing, marketing, promotion and possible cooperation between outlook-towers in regions in the Czech Republic. The main theme is detailed exploration of the Czech web interfaces of the outlook-towers. For these interfaces, the analysis of their current status was performed. Recommendations were made for overall improvement and quality of outlook-towers websites, especially for their users.
