This diploma thesis deals with analysis of German translation of the novel Saturnin by Zdeněk Jirotka. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou německého překladu románu Zdeňka Jirotky Saturnin. Zaměřuje se především na rozbor překladatelských problémů, jako jsou překlady vlastních jmen a místních názvů, kulturních rozdílů, frazémů, slovních hříček nebo rýmů a posuzuje, jakým způsobem se jich zhostil překladatel Joachim Bruss.
