Project of the Health Care Organization for COVID-19 Positive Patients in Břeclav Hospital

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá organizací péče o COVID-19 pozitivní pacienty v břeclavské nemocnici. V teoretické části je souhrně představeno české zdravotnictví a jeho služby, financování a legislativa. Další částí je management a stlyly řízení. Na to navazuje blok krizová připravenost se zaměřením na zdravotnictví a celek uzavírá část věnovaná onemocnění COVID-19 a jeho vlivu na společnost včetně opatření, která Česká republika vytvořila, aby čelila pandemii a jejím dopadům zejména v oblasti zdravotní péče. Praktická část sestává z představení Nemocnice Břeclav a toho, jak musela přizpůsobit svůj provoz v době řešení krize. Byly provedeny analýzy STEEPLED a SWOT, které jsou doplněny poznatky z rozhovorů se zaměstnanci. Na jejich základě byl vypracován projekt, jehož cílem bylo zlepšit organizaci péče. Projekt byl podroben časové a nákladové analýze a analýze rizik.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the organization of the care for COVID-19 positive patients in the Břeclav Hospital. The theoretical part summarizes the Czech healthcare system and its services, financing and legislation. The next part presents the management and management styles. This is followed by the crisis preparedness section focusing on health care, and the whole unit is concluded with the section on COVID-19 disease and its impact on society, including measures taken by the Czech Republic to face the pandemic and its impacts, especially on health care. The practical part consists of a presentation of the Břeclav Hospital and how it had to adapt its operation during the time when it had to manage the crisis. STEEPLED and SWOT analyzes were performed, which are supplemented by findings from interviews with employees. Based on them, a project was developed to improve the organization of care. The project was subjected to the time, cost and risk analysis.
