Procedure of inscription of spas in the Karlovy Vary region on the UNESCO World Heritage List - readiness, benefits, risks

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá procesem zápisu lázeňských míst na seznam světového kulturního dědictví UNESCO a připravenost tohoto Západočeského lázeňského trojúhelníku na tento zápis. Teoretická část popisuje organizaci UNESCO, historii a podmínky, díky kterým je možná nominace. Zároveň popisuje všechny nominované statky v této sériové nominaci, která je velmi nevšední. V praktické části se poté bakalářská práce věnuje rozhovorům, který byly vedeny se site manažery měst a zároveň také vedoucími infocenter, aby byla zjištěna připravenost na vstup na seznam. Za použití odpovědí z rozhovoru a nominační dokumentace Karlových Varů, Mariánských lázní a Františkových lázní, tedy Západočeského trojúhelníku, jsou poté sestaveny silné a slabé stránky spolu se závěrečným doporučením.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the procedural registration of spas on the UNESCO World Heritage List and the readiness of this West Bohemian spa triangle for this registration. The theoretical part describes the UNESCO organizations, the history and conditions that make it possible to nominate. At the same time, it describes all the nominated goods in this serial nomination, which is very unusual. In the practical part, the bachelor's thesis then devotes interviews, which were conducted with the site managers of the city and at the same time the leaders of the information center, in order to be prepared for entry on the list. Using the answers from the interviews and the nomination documentation of Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně and Františkovy Lázně, in the West Bohemian Triangle, the strong and weak one-sided collective and the weak one-sided collective are then compiled.
