The satisfaction of teachers with online teaching during extraordinary measures at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou online výuky a využívání digitálních technologií učiteli vysokých škol. Cílem práce je analyzovat spokojenost učitelů vysokých škol k užívání digitálních technologií v rámci výuky po zavedení mimořádných opatření. V teoretické části je přiblížena problematika digitálních technologií, jejich užívání ve výuce a specifika výuky na vysoké škole před pandemií, i počas pandemie covid-19. V empirické části je popsán kvantitativní výzkum, jehož cílem bylo analyzovat zkušenosti a spokojenost učitelů s online výukou a jejich schopnost zvládat online výuku na Filozofické fakultě Masarykovy univerzity v době mimořádných opatření. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 169 učitelů Filozofické fakulty, kterým byl administrován dotazník. K analýze dat byla zvolena deskriptivní statistika. Výsledky poukazují na dobrou schopnost učitelů zvládat online výuku v době této pandemie. Zjištěné rozdíly se liší zejména věkem učitelů a jejich délkou působení na univerzitě.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of online teaching and the use of digital technologies by university teachers. The aim of the work is to analyze the satisfaction of university teachers with the use of digital technologies in teaching after the introduction of emergency measures. The theoretical part deals with the issue of digital technologies, their use in teaching and the specifics of teaching at the university before the pandemic, and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The empirical part describes quantitative research, the aim of which was to analyze the experience and satisfaction of teachers with online teaching and their ability to manage online teaching at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University at the time of extraordinary measures. 169 teachers of the Faculty of Arts participated in the research, who completed a questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were chosen for data analysis. The results point to the good ability of teachers to manage online teaching during this pandemic. The differences found to differ mainly in the age of teachers and their length of teacher activity at the university.
