Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá aktuální otázkou problematiky edukace nadaných žáků v hodinách anglického jazyka na českých základních a středních školách. Teoretická část práce zahrnuje vysvětlení základních pojmů bezprostředně souvisejících s tématem a objektivně posuzuje nejen pozitivní teorie týkající se nadání, ale také negativní vlivy provázející nadané děti. Další kapitoly pojednávají o základních charakteristikách a metodách identifikace nadaných jedinců, možnostech jejich vzdělávání, mýtech a zažitých polopravdách, které stále o nadaných dětech ve společnosti kolují. Práce také zahrnuje možnosti podpory nadaných dětí, které mohou být poskytovány českou legislativou, školním zařízením či rodinou. Praktická část práce obsahuje kazuistiky tří nadaných žáků, kteří byli diagnostikováni jako nadaní v pedagogicko-psychologických poradnách. Kazuistiky obsahují rozhovory s učiteli anglického jazyka, třídními či dalšími učiteli, kteří se na výchově těchto nadaných dětí podílejí, ředitely škol, rodiči dětí, spolužáky, i rozhovory s dětmi samotnými. Jelikož jsou všichni tito žáci integrováni v běžných základních školách či gymnáziích, je cílem této práce zjištění, které výukové strategie související s integračním procesem nadaných dětí jsou v současnosti aplikovány v hodinách anglického jazyka. Práce také zachycuje vývoj a projevy nadání těchto dětí během školní docházky.

Abstract:

The presented thesis deals with the issue of the current approaches of education of gifted pupils in English lessons at primary and secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the work includes the explanation of basic concepts and objectively assesses both the positive theories on talent and the accompanying negative effects on gifted children. Further chapters deal with the basic characteristics and methods of identification of gifted individuals, then they observe possibilities of education and which myths or half-truths are still experienced by gifted. They also study the ways of what support options can provide Czech legislation, schools, or families for the gifted. The practical part of the work includes case studies of three gifted students who have been identified as gifted by the school advisory facility. The case studies include interviews with children´s English teachers, classroom or other teachers who participate in the educational process, headmasters, parents, schoolmates, and interviews with the students themselves. Finally, as all the students are integrated in mainstream schools or grammar schools the aim of this work focuses on searching currently implemented teaching strategies related to the integrative process of gifted children in English classes. The work also shows the process of development and manifestation of students´ giftedness during the school attendance.
