Management of financial risk

Abstract:

The diploma work is oriented on identification of problem of financial risks, explanation of theoretical aspects of risk. It refers about importance of economical active subjects to monitor the risks, to analyze a reason of creation a loss, to flexibly create new concepts and strategies and how to prevent them, to ensure minimal financial incidence in case of uprising. The work is contextually divided into five chapters. The object of this diploma work is how to effectively direct the financial risks together with using of differences of financial derivates, elimination of loss to achieve profit. The first chapter is theoretical introduction to a problem of management of financial risks, it is processed with descriptive method, it defines risk and results of its influence. The second chapter describes, separates and quantifies basic financial risks, analyses the steps of procedural approach, by finding effective tools of management of financial risks. The third chapter defines derivates and derivate contracts. It forms individual types of derivates and their differences. The fourth chapter is focused on security tools of risks – hedging, defines individual sorts. When using of security also speculation to certain profit. By using induction and deduction, the fifth chapter evaluates individual partial objects, if they guide us to fulfill the main object of this diploma work. It expresses the achievement of understanding of given problem with practical application. Searching comes to knowledge, it forms expectations and recommendations.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca orientovaná na identifikáciu problematiky riadenia finančných rizík s vysvetlením teoretických aspektov rizika. Poukazuje na dôležitosť ekonomicky aktívnych subjektov riziká monitorovať, analyzovať príčiny vzniku strát, flexibilne vytvárať nové koncepcie a stratégie ako im predchádzať, v prípade vzniku zabezpečiť minimálne finančné dopady. Práca je obsahovo rozdelená do piatich kapitol. Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je, ako efektívne usmerňovať finančné riziká s využitím rozdielov finančných derivátov, elimináciou strát k dosahovaniu ziskov. Prvá kapitola je teoretickým úvodom do problematiky manažmentu finančných rizík, je spracovaná popisnou metódou, definuje riziko a dôsledky jeho pôsobenia. Druhá kapitola popisuje, triedi, klasifikuje a kvantifikuje základné finančné riziká, analyzuje kroky procesného prístupu, hľadaním efektívnych a účinných nástrojov manažmentu finančných rizík. Tretia kapitola definuje deriváty a derivátové kontrakty. Formuluje jednotlivé druhy derivátov a ich vzájomné rozdiely. Štvrtá kapitola sa venuje zabezpečovacím nástrojom rizík – hedgingu, definuje jednotlivé formy. S Využitím zabezpečenia aj špekulácie k istým ziskom. Piata kapitola indukciou a dedukciou vyhodnocuje jednotlivé parciálne ciele, či nás doviedli k splneniu hlavného cieľa tejto diplomovej práce. Vyjadruje dosiahnutie poznania z danej problematiky s praktickým použitím. Skúmaním prichádza k poznaniam, formuluje predpoklady a odporúčania.
