Probe into the family raising three daughters with cerebral palsy

Abstract:

Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol, z toho tři jsou teoretické, a jedna výzkumná. V první kapitole je popsán důležitý vliv rodiny pro osoby s postižením, možnosti a specifika vzdělávání žáků s tělesným postižením, legislativní opatření a poradenské služby. Druhá kapitola pojednává o etiologii, terminologii a klasifikaci mozkové obrny, popisuje druhy mozkové obrny a také možná přidružená postižení osob s touto diagnózou. Třetí kapitola se zabývá možností rehabilitací jedinců s mozkovou obrnou, zejména rehabilitací Vojtovou metodou či Bobath konceptem, ale také dalšími významnými terapiemi. Čtvrtá kapitola je věnována praktické části bakalářské práce, která byla vytvořena jako kvalitativní výzkum prostřednictvím pozorovacích a dotazovacích metod. Praktická část je pohledem do rodiny, ve které jsou tři osoby postiženy mozkovou obrnou. Zaměřuje se hlavně na roli matky, ale i ostatních členů rodiny, na jejich vzájemné vztahy a také na plány postižených osob do budoucna.

Abstract:

The thesis is divided into four chapters, of which three are theoretical and one has a form of a research. The first chapter describes the important influence of the family for people with disabilities, possibilities and specifics of education of pupils with physical disabilities, legislative measures and counseling services. The second chapter deals with the etiology, terminology and classification of cerebral palsy, describes types of cerebral palsy and also possible associated disabilities of people with this diagnosis. The third chapter deals with the possibility of rehabilitation of individuals with cerebral palsy, especially the rehabilitation called Vojta method and Bobath concept, but some other important therapies are also described here. The fourth chapter is devoted to the practical part of the thesis, which was created as a qualitative research through observation and query methods. The practical part is a look into a family in which three people are affected by cerebral palsy. It focuses mainly on the role of the mother, but also other family members, on their mutual relations and also on the future plans of disabled people.
