Comparison of indicators of health-oriented fitness and social behavior of primary school pupils with intellectual disabilities

Abstract:

Disertační práce se zabývá Komparací ukazatelů zdravotně orientované zdatnosti a sociálního chování žáků ZŠ s mentálním postižením. Teoretická část práce se zabývá problematikou osob s MP. Cílem práce je zjistit rozdíly mezi chlapci a dívkami, mezi stupni mentálního postižení a mezi věkovými obdobími u žáků s MP z hlediska týdenní pohybové aktivity, sociálního chování a statisticky významných rozdílů v pohybové aktivitě, sociálním chování a v testech zdravotně orientované zdatnosti. Cílem je také znázornit trend vývoje u žáků za 2 roky a zjistit, zda efekt letních prázdnin je statisticky významný. Použitými metodami byl kvantitativní a komparativní výzkum. Všechny použité testy zdravotně orientované zdatnosti jsou standardně používané v rámci FUNfitness ve Special Olympics. Týdenní pohybová aktivita byla zjišťována pomocí přístrojů movbandů. Sociální chování bylo hodnoceno škálou Reiss Screen Behavior. Ke zjištění statisticky významných rozdílů byla použita Friedmanova anova. Výsledkem práce je zjištění, že pohybová aktivita žáků s MP dosahuje 77 % až 122 % normy počtu kroků denně. Dívky mají lepší sociální chování než chlapci o 3 %. Žáci s lehkým MP mají horší sociální chování o 6 % až 13 % než žáci se středním MP. Žáci v adolescenci mají lepší sociální chování o 13 % až 28 % než žáci ve školním věku. Statisticky významná změna nastává u žáků se středním MP v souvislosti s trendem zvýšení pohybové aktivity po letních prázdninách a u žáků v pubescenci v souvislosti s trendem zlepšení jejich sociálního chování po letních prázdninách.

Abstract:

The dissertation thesis deals with the Comparison of indicators of health-oriented fitness and social behavior of primary school pupils with intellectual disabilities. The theoretical part deals with the issue of people with ID. The aim of this work is to find out the differences between boys and girls, between the levels of intellectual disability and between the age periods in pupils with ID in terms of weekly physical activity, social behavior and statistically significant differences in physical activity, in social behavior and in health-oriented fitness tests. The aim is also to show the trend of development in pupils in 2 years and to find out whether the effect of summer holidays is statistically significant. The methods used were quantitative and comparative research. All health-related fitness tests are standardly use in FUNfitness in Special Olympics. Weekly physical activity was measured using movband devices. Social behavior was evaluated by the questionnaire Reiss Screen Behavior. Friedman's anova was used to detect statistically significant differences. The result of this work is to find out that physical activity of pupils with ID reaches 77% to 122% of norm of steps per day. Girls have a better social behavior than boys by 3%. Pupils with mild ID have worse social behavior by 6% to 13% than pupils with moderate ID. Adolescent pupils have better social behavior by 13% to 28% than pupils of school age. A statistically significant change occurs in pupils with moderate ID in connection with the trend of increased physical activity after summer holidays and in pupils in pubescence in connection with the trend of improvement of their social behavior after summer holidays.
