Cieľom diplomovej práce je posúdiť reakcie centrálnych bánk na finančnú krízu, ich spôsob a rozsah. Zhodnotiť očakávania s tým spojené. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na definíciu finančnej krízy, centrálnych bánk a menovej politiky. Druhá kapitola sa zaoberá vznikom, príčinami finančnej krízy so zameraním na jej samotný priebeh.
