V dnešní době jsou platební nástroje, zejména platební karty, natolik rozšířené, až pro některé lidi nepostradatelné, proto se zaměřuji na jejich vývoj a použití v tuzemsku. Rozebírám typy karet Visa a MasterCard. Věnuji se využívání různých technologií při akceptaci platebních karet. Uvádím výhody platebních karet a jejich zabezpečení.
