The Simplified Semantic Differential and its Usage in Pre-school Music Education

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na úpravu sémantického diferenciálu pro dítě v mateřské škole. Protože tato metoda není pro dítě primárně určena, obsahuje text práce zevrubnější úvodní kapitolu, ve které je dítě předškolního věku charakterizováno ve vybraných aspektech (z pohledu předškolního vzdělávání, charakteristiky vývojových specifik a hudebnosti), ke kterým bylo přihlíženo při nutné elementarizaci. Následuje kapitola představující výzkumnou metodu, její aplikaci v pedagogickém výzkumu a přesah k sémiotice pro osvětlení problematiky znaku v hudbě. Poslední a stěžejní kapitola přináší návrh elementarizované podoby sémantického diferenciálu s komentářem. Jsou zde prezentovány výsledky praktické realizace zjednodušeného návrhu metody a zhodnocena výsledná data. Všechny podstatné výsledky byly statisticky zpracovány a zapracovány do přehledných grafů a tabulek, které poskytují rychlý vhled do problematiky. Bylo dokázáno, že dítě předškolního věku dokáže s touto výzkumnou metodou, byť v zjednodušené verzi, pracovat a v závěru bylo navrženo další užití této metody v hudební výchově v mateřské škole.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the method of semantic differential and its usage for a child in a kindergarten. This method is not primarily intended for a child and that's why the thesis contains a detailed introductory chapter in which a preschool child is characterized by selected aspects (from the point of view of the pre-school education, developmental characteristics and musicality), which were taken into account during necessary simplification. The following chapter represents the research method and its application in pedagogical research. The chapter also contains semiotics overlap for highlighting the issue of character in music. The last, key chapter brings the proposal of simplified form of the semantic differential and its commentary. There are also presented the results of the practical implementation of the simplified planning methods and the resultant data are assessed. All significant results were statistically analysed and incorporated into synoptic graphs and tables that provide a quick insight into the issue. It was proved that a child in preschool age can understand the simplified version of this research method. In the end of the thesis, there was proposed the further use of this method in music education in kindergarten.
