Using the mathematical software in engineering

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na aplikaci umělé inteligence, konkrétně metod strojového učení, v oblasti logistiky. Využití strojového učení přináší nové možnosti v optimalizaci procesů a dosahování strategických cílů přepravních a výrobních společností. Teoretická část se věnuje formulaci zvolené úlohy, motivaci a návrhu řešení, včetně popisu zvolených metod - ABC analýzy a K-means algoritmu. Na závěr popisuje programovací jazyk Python, který je použit pro vypracování praktické části. Praktická část obsahuje vlastní řešení zvolené úlohy pomocí zmíněných metod. Výsledky použitých metod jsou v závěru práce porovnány a zhodnoceny. Cílem této práce je naučit se pracovat s programovacím jazykem Python a použít jej k vypracování zvolené úlohy z oblasti řízení zásob. V rámci zpracování této úlohy má být zjištěno, jestli lze použít strojové učení k efektivnějšímu způsobu kategorizace zásob, než jaké poskytuje metoda ABC. V závěru této diplomové práce autor konstatuje, že zvolené cíle se podařilo splnit.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the application of artificial intelligence, specifically machine learning methods, in the field of logistics. The use of machine learning brings new possibilities in optimizing processes and achieving the strategic goals of transport and manufacturing companies. The theoretical part is devoted to the formulation of the chosen task, motivation and solution design, including a description of the chosen methods - ABC analysis and K-means algorithm. Finally, it describes the Python programming language, which is used to develop the practical part. The practical part contains the solution of the chosen task using the mentioned methods. The results of the used methods are compared and evaluated at the end of the thesis. The aim of this thesis is to learn to work with the Python programming language and use it to develop a chosen task in the area of inventory management. The outcome of the practical part should be to determine whether machine learning can be used for a more effective way of categorizing stocks than the one provided by the ABC method. At the end of this diploma thesis, the author states that the chosen goals have been achieved.
