BI Solution Design for PSD2 in Banking Environment

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá směrnicí evropského parlamentu o platebních službách v EU známou pod zkratkou PSD2. Shrne, jak tato směrnice ovlivní dosavadní fungování bankovního prostředí a platebního styku. Především se zaměří na technologickou stránku problému. Směrnice předepisuje nové požadavky na IT prostředí bankovních domů, které potřebují vyvinout značné úsilí tyto předpisy splnit. Vzniká totiž celý nový kanál, kterým klient mů-že komunikovat se svými bankami. Zásadní je otázka bezpečnosti komunikace a přenosu klientských dat, rozhraní bank musí splňovat přísné požadavky.Práce přiblíží IT architekturu integrace otevřeného API do stěžejních systémů banky. Dále důkladně vypracovává návrh business inteligence řešení PSD2 problematiky v datovém skladu banky. V rozsáhlé kapitole je popsána specifikace jednotlivých problémů, podni-kové architektury, datového toku, návrhu datového modelu a transformační logiky. Na závěr tato práce zvažuje budoucí rozvoj a další možné přínosy PSD2 směrnice v oblasti BI.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the European Parliament‘s directive on payment services in the European Union, known as PSD2. It will summarize how this directive will affect the func-tioning of the banking environment and the payments system so far. Above all, it will focus on the technological side of the problem. The directive defines new requirements for the IT of banking institutions which need to make significant efforts to be in compli-ance with these new regulations. In fact, a whole new channel emerges, through which the client can communicate with his banks. The crucial issue is the security of communi-cation and transfer of client data. The banking application interface must meet strict re-quirements.The thesis introduces the integration of open API into core systems of a bank. Further-more, it elaborates the business intelligence design of the PSD2 solution in the bank’s data warehouse. The extensive chapter describes the specification of individual prob-lems, enterprise architecture, data flow, dimensional model and transformation logic. In conclusion, this thesis considers future development and other impact of the PSD2 di-rective on BI.
