The early medieval period in Europe was characterized by intense Christianization activities, with the adoption of the new religion extending to the Slavic tribes of the time. Christianisation was carried out in various ways, including gradual assimila-tion, initiatives by contemporary rulers, or forcibly during military campaigns. Obdobie raného stredoveku sa v Európe vyznačovalo intenzívnymi christianizač-nými aktivitami, pričom prijímaniu nového náboženstva sa nevyhli ani vtedajšie slovanské kmene. Christianizácia bola vykonávaná rôznymi spôsobmi, ako naprí-klad postupnou asimiláciou, prípadne iniciatívou vtedajších panovníkov alebo ná-silne, počas vojnových ťažení.
