Incidence of stress urinary incontinence in women at the age 20-65 years

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem práce bylo zmapovat výskyt stresové močové inkontinence u žen ve věku od 20 do 65 let. Dále, dílčím cílem 1 zjistit, zda existuje souvislost mezi vybranými faktory a výskytem stresové močové inkontinence. Dílčím cílem 2 zjistit, do jaké míry stresová močová inkontinence ovlivňuje každodenní život ženy. Metodika: Průzkumný soubor tvořilo celkem 105 žen ze 4 soukromých gynekologických ambulancí v Ostravě a Proskovicích. Ženy byly vybírány dle jediného kritéria, a to věku. Věkové rozmezí bylo stanoveno na 20-65 let. K průzkumu byl využit standardizovaný dotazník ICIQ-SF, který byl doplněn o otázky mapující rizikové faktory stresové močové inkontinence. Průzkum probíhal od listopadu 2016 do ledna 2017. Výsledky: Močová inkontinence se vyskytovala u 41 % žen. Stresový typ inkontinence byl prokázán u 27 % žen. Výskyt stresové inkontinence moči byl vyšší u starších žen, u žen s vyšším počtem porodů, u žen rodících spontánně, u žen s fyzicky náročným zaměstnáním, a u žen v postmenopauze. Ženy se stresovou inkontinencí hodnotily průměrně ovlivnění každodenního života únikem moči na stupnici 0-10, číslem 5. Závěr: Stresová inkontinence patří mezi nejčastější typ močové inkontinence a vyskytuje se u více jak čtvrtiny žen. Z tohoto důvodu je potřeba se žen doptávat na problémy s močovou inkontinencí a aktivně je zapojit do léčby.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim was to map the incidence of stress urinary incontinence in women aged between 20 and 65 years. Partial aim 1 finds out whether there is a connection between the risk factors and the incindence of stress urinary incontience. Partial aim 2 finds out how much stress urinary incontinence affects daily life of women. Methodology: Research sample was composed of 105 women from 4 private gynecological ambulances in Ostrava and Proskovice. Women were selected according to age. The age interval was set at 20-65 years. The ICIQ-SF questionnaire was used to collect facts about urinary incontinence. A few questions about risk factors were added to the questionnaire. Research was carried out from November 2016 to January 2017. Results: It was found out that 41 % of women suffer from urinary leakage. Stress urinary incontience was proved in 27 % women. The incidence of stress incontinence was higher with older women, higher number of birth and vaginal birth, with physical demanding occupation and with postmenopausal women. Women that suffer from stress urinary incontinence evaluated the affection of daily life by urinary leakage on the scale 0 - 10 with number 5. Conclusion: Stress incontinence belongs between the most common type of urinary leakage among women. It is important to ask women about problems with urinary incontinence and make them participate in treatment actively.
