Discipline in After School Clubs

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou udržení kázně ve školní družině. Cílem této práce je zjistit způsob udržování kázně vychovatelem ve školní družině. Teoretická část je rozdělena na tři hlavní kapitoly. V první kapitole je popsána profese vychovatele, jeho kompetence, požadavky na kvalifikaci a možnosti studia. Dále je v této kapitole uvedeno uplatnění sociálního pedagoga jako vychovatele, zaměřuje se i na sociální pedagogiku, profesi sociálního pedagoga, legislativu a jeho kompetence. Obsahem druhé teoretické kapitoly je charakteristika školní družiny. V této kapitole je popsáno prostředí školy a školní družiny, její funkce a cíle, režim dne ve školní družině. Dále je zde kladen důraz na popis požadavků pedagogiky volného času na vzdělávání ve školní družině, výchovu v rámci školní družiny a různé druhy výchovy a závěr je věnován rozboru vývojové psychologie období mladšího školního věku. Třetí teoretická kapitola je zaměřena na charakteristiku kázně a nekázně, zjištění hlavních funkcí kázně, příčiny nekázně a možnosti využití různých technik diagnostiky nekázně. V této kapitole je uvedena rovněž prevence a prostředky na podporu kázně a také kázeňské prostředky, které mohou vychovatelé využívat. V praktické výzkumné části je realizované šetření ve vybraných školních družinách základních škol Zlínského kraje, jehož cílem bylo zjistit způsoby udržení kázně ve družině. Dílčími cíli bylo charakterizovat potřebné kompetence vychovatele, definovat představy vychovatele o kázni, prozkoumat kázeňské prostředky využívané vychovatelem a zjistit přístupy vychovatele k opakované nekázni. K dosažení stanovených cílů bylo využito hloubkových rozhovorů, které byly následně analyzované pomocí kódování zakotvené teorie.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of maintaining discipline in after school care clubs. The aim of this thesis is to find out the method of maintaining discipline by the educator in the after school care club. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter describes the profession of an educator, its competences, qualification requirements and study opportunities. Furthermore, this chapter presents the application of the social pedagogue as an educator, it also focuses on social pedagogy, the profession of the social pedagogue, legislation and its competences. The content of the second theoretical chapter is the characteristics of the after school care club. This chapter describes the school environment and the after school care club, its functions and objectives, and the daily routine of the after school care club. It also focuses on a description of the requirements of leisure-time pedagogy for education in the after school care club, education within the school day care centre and different types of education, and concludes with an analysis of the developmental psychology of the younger school age period. The third theoretical chapter focuses on the characteristics of discipline and indiscipline, the identification of the main functions of discipline, the causes of indiscipline and the possibility of using different techniques for the diagnosis of indiscipline. Prevention and means to promote discipline are also presented in this chapter, as well as disciplinary resources that educators can use. In the practical research part, a survey is conducted in selected elementary after school care clubs in the Zlín region to find out the ways of maintaining discipline in the after school care club. The sub-objectives were to characterize the necessary competences of the educator, to define the educator's ideas about discipline, to examine the disciplinary means used by the educator and to find out the educator's approaches to repeated indiscipline. In-depth interviews were used to achieve the stated objectives, which were then analysed using grounded theory coding.
