Abstract:

Ústředním tématem práce je fungování městské správy ve složitých podmínkách města Jihlava. Silná německá menšina po celou dobu první republiky zásadně ovlivňovala politický, kulturní i hospodářský život města. Popisuje střet rozdílných cílů české a německé části města. Je zde zmíněno působení vládních komisariátů v Jihlavě a jejich význam pro fungování státní svrchovanosti. Práce mapuje předvolební boj, výsledky voleb, následné složení městských orgánů a jejich vliv na rozvoj města. Ukazuje na způsoby městské správy v době hospodářské krize a nástupu sudetoněmeckého hnutí ve třicátých letech, které měly pro chod města zásadní význam.

Abstract:

The central topic of the Bachleor´s thesis is the function of the town´s administration under the difficult conditions of the town Jihlava. In Jihlava was strong German minority prevailed for the whole time of the existence of the 1st Czech Republic and influenced political,cultural and economic life. It refers to different aims of the Czech and German population of the Town. It also describes work of governmental commissions in Jihlava, their importance for the function of the state sovereignty. It gives a map of the election campaign, deals with results of elections, following composition of town´s administration and its influence on the development of Jihlava. Finally, it points at modes of the town´s administration during economic crisis and the rise of the Sudeten-German movement leading to the fundamental impact on the historic course of Jihlava in the 30s.
