Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with connections between subdivision algorithms of geometric modeling and iterated function systems (IFS) of fractal theory. These connections have recently appeared in the literature. We introduce IFS for subdivision curves, providing rigorous justification of the main constructions. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá souvislostmi mezi subdivision algoritmy geometrického modelování a iteračním systémem funkcí (IFS) v teorii fraktálů. Tyto souvislosti se v současnosti objevily v literatuře. Představujeme zde IFS pro generování subdivision křivek a rigorózně zdůvodňujeme korektnost hlavních konstrukcí.
