Verbal aggression in family communication

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá verbální agresí v rodinné komunikaci. V teoretické části je přiblížena komunikace obecně, její druhy, styly a verbální agrese. Poté charakterizuje komunikaci mezi rodičem a dítětem a popisuje koncept sebezáchovných pozic Virginie Satirové. Praktická část této práce sleduje výskyt verbální agrese rodičů vůči dětem ve zvukových nahrávkách rodinné komunikace a propojuje je se sebezáchovnými pozicemi a komunikačními funkcemi.

Abstract:

This thesis investigates the verbal aggression in family communication. The theoretical part approaches communication in general - the types and styles of the verbal aggression. Subsequently, the work characterizes the communication between parent and child and describes the concept of coping stances introduced by Virginia Satir. The practical part of the thesis observes the occurrence of verbal aggression of parents towards children in audio recordings of family communication and links them with coping stances and communication functions.
