Abstract:

Fünfhausenová, Sarah. Vliv hinduismu na postavení ženy v indické společnosti. [Bakalářská práce] University College Prague – Vysoká škola mezinárodních vztahů a Vysoká škola hotelová a ekonomická s.r.o. Praha: 2023. Bakalářská práce “Vliv hinduismu na postavení ženy v indické společnosti” si klade za cíl podrobně charakterizovat a prozkoumat do jaké míry má dominantní hinduistické náboženství vliv na postavení žen v Indii. Teoretická část se tak zabývá nejdříve kulturní a náboženskou stránkou Indické republiky, na což navazuje kapitola, která je věnována samotnému hinduismu. Dále tato část pojednává o historickém vývoji postavení indických žen, na který je navázána samostatná kapitola o současném postavení, kde jsou zmíněny například vzdělávací, či pracovní podmínky žen. Výzkumná část byla vyhotovena za pomoci polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s respondenty indického původu bez ohledu na pohlaví. Cílem kvalitativního výzkumu je primárně zjistit, zdali v současné době dochází k pozitivnímu vývoji postavení indických žen a zda mají ženy horší, či lepší podmínky ke studiu, k práci, či ve společnosti než muži. V rámci metodiky výzkumu bude použit vzorek respondentů, kteří jsou indického původu. K výběru respondentů bude použit účelový výběr a ke sběru dat budou použity osobní rozhovory. Rozhovory poté budou zkoumány za pomoci metodiky kvalitativní analýzy dat.

[Bachelor thesis] University College Prague – University of International Relations and Institute of Hospitality Manegement and Economics Ltd. Prague: 2023. The bachelor's thesis "The Influence of Hinduism on the Status of Women in Indian Society" aims to characterize and examine in detail the extent to which the dominant Hindu religion has influenced the status of women in India. The theoretical section first examines the cultural and religious aspects of India, followed by a chapter on Hinduism itself. Next, this section discusses the historical development of the status of Indian women, which is followed by a separate chapter on the current status where the educational or working conditions of women are mentioned. The research part was done with the help of semi-structured interviews with respondents of Indian origin irrespective of gender. The primary aim of the qualitative research is to find out whether there is currently a positive development in the status of Indian women and whether women have worse or better conditions for education, work or society then men. The research methodology will use a sample of respondents who are of Indian origin. Purposive sampling will be used to select the respondents and personal interviews will be used to collect data. The interviews will then be examined using qualitative data analysis methodology.
