Proper Names in Czech and Croatian Translation of the Book Called Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Abstract:
Tato diplomová magisterská práce se zabývá analýzou překladu vlastních jmen a neologismů, jež se vyskytují v knize Harry Potter a Kámen mudrců. Práce se zaměřuje na morfologické a translatologické hledisko vlastních jmen v českém a chorvatském překladu knihy. Uvedena je také četnost výskytu přeložených vlastních jmen v porovnání s jejich výchozími tvary, a to v obou jazycích.
Abstract:
This diploma thesis analyzes the translation of proper names and neologisms which are found in the book called Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It is focused mainly on the morphological and the translatological aspect of proper names in the Czech and Croatian translation of the book.
