Organized crime and methodology of its investigation

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma „Organizovaný zločin a metodika jeho vyšetřování“ má za cíl ve své teoretické části informovat čtenáře o vlastním vymezení pojmu organizovaný zločin, o jeho znacích a formách. Dále se práce dotýká vzniku, vývoje a jednotlivých skupin organizovaného zločinu a v neposlední řadě taktéž charakterizuje odhalování, vyšetřování a metody boje s organizovaným zločinem. Praktická část ve formě kazuistiky popisuje pomocí metody analýzy a srovnání jednotlivých pramenů literatury jeden z největších případů v historii české kriminalistiky, kterým se stala „metanolová kauza“. V rámci této události je popsáno policejní vyšetřování, soudní řízení, lékařský pohled na vliv metanolu na lidský organismus, dopady „metanolové kauzy“ a shrnutí kauzy v číslech. Autor se v závěru práce zaobírá úvahami o možných příčinách a následných dopadech této kauzy. Taktéž autor upozorňuje na nutnost soustavného boje ve formě legislativní, kontrolní a represivní činnosti nejen v oblasti výroby, distribuce a prodeje lihovin, ale i boje proti organizovanému zločinu v jakékoliv jeho podobě.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis on topic ‘Organized crime and methodology of its investigation’ have an aim, in their theoretical part, to inform readers about the definition of the term organized crime, its signs and forms. Furthermore, the thesis mention origins, development and particular groups of organized crime and also characterize detecting, investigation and methods of fighting with organized crime. Practical part through casuistry and by analysis and comparisons of specific sources from literature describes one of the greatest cases in the history of czech criminology, which was the ‘Methanol case’. Within this event, there is described police investigation, trial, medical view on the influence of methanol on human organism, the impacts of ‘Methanol case’ and conclusion of the case, given in figures. At the end of the thesis, the author deals with his reflections about possible causes and following tragical impacts of this case. As well, the author points out necessity of permanent legislative fight and repressive activity not only on the field of production, distribution and selling of alcohol, but also against organized crime at any of its form.
