All My Loved Ones: Attachment hierarchy in early and middle adolescence

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo zjistit a ověřit vztahy mezi primárními vazbovými osobami a proměnami v uspořádání hierarchie citové vazby s pociťovanou afektivitou adolescentů, se zohledněním vývojových proměn v průběhu dospívání a genderových rozdílů. Pro výzkum byla využita data z projektu Všichni moji blízcí. Pro účely současné studie se výzkumu účastnilo 210 adolescentů ze čtyř kohort, ve věku od 11 do 18 let, z čehož bylo 113 dívek a 97 chlapců. Data byla získána pomocí dotazníků. Výsledky ukázaly, že dospívající, kteří uváděli svou matku nebo oba rodiče jako primární vazbové osoby, nereflektovali o prožívání většího množství pozitivních emocí než dospívající, kteří je jako primární vazbové osoby neuváděli. Rozdíl v míře prožívaných pozitivních emocí se neobjevil ani v případě přítomnosti/nepřítomnosti vrstevníků v hierarchii citové vazby. Podobná tendence byla zjištěna také ve vztahu vrstevníků jako primárních vazbových osob s prožívanými pozitivními emocemi adolescentů. Mezi dospívajícími, kteří vrstevníky uváděli jako primární vazbové osoby, a těmi, kteří je neuváděli, nebyl nalezen signifikantní rozdíl v míře prožívaných pozitivních emocí. Výsledky studie jsou diskutovány v kontextu předchozích teoretických zjištění.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to find out and verify relationships between primary attachment figures, changes in attachment hierarchy and perceived affectivity of adolescents, considering developmental changes during adolescence and gender differences. Data were used from project All my loved ones. For the purposes of present study there were 210 participants from four cohorts, in age from 11 to 18 years, 113 girls and 97 boys. Data were collected through questionnaires. The results revealed that adolescents, who had mother or both parents as primary attachment figure, did not reflect perceiving higher amount of positive emotions than adolescents, who didn’t have mother or parents as primary attachment figures. The difference in amount of perceived emotions was not find between presence/absence of peers in attachment hierarchy either. Similar tendency can be seen in the relationship between peers as primary attachment figures and positive emotions perceived by adolescents. There was not find any significant difference in the amount of perceived positive emotions between adolescents, who had peers in their attachment hierarchy, and adolescents, who didn’t have any peers in their attachment hierarchy. The results of present study are discussed in the context of previous theoretical findings.
