Předmětná práce se zabývá tématikou dospívání bez rodičů ve třech románech od spisovatelky Jane Gardamové: Old Filth (2013), Crusoe’s Daughter (1985) a Bilgewater (1976). This thesis examines the issue of growing up without parents in three novels by Jane Gardam: Old Filth (2013), Crusoe’s Daughter (1985) and Bilgewater (1976). The aim of this thesis is to prove that growing up without parents greatly impacts characters’ childhood and adulthood. It is divided into three main chapters.
