Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou expandovaného polystyrenu využívaného ve stavebnictví. Cílem práce je poukázat na negativní i pozitivní faktory tohoto materiálu. V teoretické části je shrnuta základní charakteristika expandovaného polystyrenu. Ta zahrnuje postup výroby, vlastnosti a možnosti využití EPS ve stavebnictví. Teoretická část dále popisuje celý životní cyklus tohoto materiálu, který zahrnuje všechny fáze procesu od výroby až po likvidaci, včetně jejich optimalizací. V praktické části byla provedena analýza čtyř vybraných skladeb konstrukcí stěn s kontaktním zateplením z EPS s ohledem na ekonomické a environmentální souvislosti. Tato analýza vedla k vyhodnocení optimální tloušťky tepelného izolantu pro daný typ konstrukce v závislosti na celkový dopad na životní prostředí a ekonomiku.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with analysis of using expanded polystyrene in construction. The aim of the work is to point out the negative and positive factors of this material. In the theoretical part is summarized the basic characteristic of expanded polystyrene. This includes the production process, properties and possibilities of using EPS in construction. The theoretical part also describes the entire life cycle of this material, which includes all stages of the process from production to disposal, including their optimization. In the practical part was made an analysis of four selected compositions of constructed walls with contact insulation from EPS, with regard to economic and environmental contexts. This analysis led to the evaluation of the optimal thickness of the thermal insulator for the selected type of structure depending on the overall impact on the environment and the economy.
