Migration and Vietnamese community in Ústí Region

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem imigrace Vietnamců na území České republiky a podrobněji se zaměřuje na vietnamskou komunitu v Ústeckém kraji. V první, teoretické části práce, jsou objasněny pojmy, které jsou v textu dále požívány. Je zde také stručně charakterizován Ústecký kraj, tedy kraj, ve kterém tvoří Vietnamci dlouhodobě jednu z nejpočetnějších skupin cizinců. Následně je zmapována historie imigrace, její důvody a příčiny existence poměrně velké skupiny občanů vietnamské národnosti v České republice. V práci jsou popsány změny v důvodech imigrace před a po roce 1989. Důležitou částí práce je praktické porovnání populačního vývoje cizinců jako celku s vietnamskou komunitou v Česku, jejich demografický vývoj v průběhu let dle dostupných dat. Poslední část se pak zabývá Vietnamci v Ústeckém kraji a jejich sociálně-ekonomickou činností na daném území.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis deals with the development of Vietnamese immigration at the territory of the Czech Republic. It focuses on the Vietnamese community in Ústí Region in detail. The conceptions which appear in the text are explained in the first theoretical part. There is also brief characteristic of Ústí Region where Vietnamese people are the most numerous group of foreigners for a long time. Then there is a description of the history of immigration and the reasons for living quite a big group of citizens of Vietnamese nationality in the Czech Republic. The changes of reasons for immigration before and after 1989 are also taken down in this work. A very important part of this Bachelor thesis is practical comparison of population development of all foreigners with Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, their demographic development over the years according to the available data. The last part deals with Vietnamese people in Ústí region and their socio-economic activities in the territory.
