The process of integration of Bulgarian teachers from the private Bulgarian primary and grammar school "Christo Botev" in Slovakia.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the process of integration of Bulgarian teachers working in private Bulgarian school and grammar school and living in Slovakia. The paper consists of two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. The first chapter explains the concepts and phenomena related to and influencing the process of integration and acculturation, the second chapter discusses the need of multicultural education as a means for developing competencies leading to understanding and tolerance of other cultures. The third chapter is devoted to the Bulgarian minority living in Slovakia, its specificities, cultural practices, traditions and institutions. The essence of the empirical part is a description of the methodology of qualitative research investigation and interpretation of the results. The aim of this investigation was to understand and describe how was processing the process of integration of Bulgarian teachers who have moved to work in Slovakia.

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práca sa zaoberá procesom integrácie bulharských učiteľov pracujúcich na súkromnej bulharskej škole a gymnáziu Christa Boteva a žijúcich na Slovensku. Práca sa skladá z dvoch častí – teoretickej a empirickej. Teoretická časť pozostáva z troch kapitol. Prvá kapitola približuje pojmy a javy týkajúce sa, a ovplyvňujúce proces integrácie a akulturácie, druhá kapitola hovorí o potrebe multikultúrnej výchovy ako prostriedku pre rozvoj kompetencií vedúcich k pochopeniu a tolerancii iných kultúr. Tretia kapitola je venovanú bulharskej národnostnej menšine žijúcej na Slovensku, jej špecifikám, kultúrnym zvykom, tradíciám a inštitúciám. Podstatou empirickej časti je popis metodológie kvalitatívneho výskumného šetrenia a interpretácia jeho výsledkov. Cieľom tohto šetrenia bolo poznať a popísať ako prebiehal proces integrácie bulharských učiteľov, ktorí sa presťahovali za prácou na Slovensko.
