Physiotherapy in a Patient Focused on Vertebral Algic Syndrome in the Cervical Spine and Related Structures

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na dysfunkci v oblasti krční páteře se souvisejícími doprovodnými příznaky. Teoretická část se věnuje anatomii a kineziologii krční páteře a struktur, které se svým uložením či tkáňovým napojením s krční páteří vzájemně ovlivňují. Dále jsou uvedeny časté fyzioterapeutické diagnózy pojící se s vertebrogenními algickými syndromy a navazují příklady strukturálních patologií, ať již degenerativních či úrazových. V další části jsou uvedeny pohybové stereotypy přímo ovlivňující stav krční páteře, jejich škodlivost a možnost úpravy. Stručně jsou zde zmíněny postupy vyšetření a možné formy terapie. Praktická část má formu kazuistiky pacientky s častými bolesti hlavy až migrenózními příznaky a indikací k rehabilitaci pro bolesti v oblasti krční páteře. Popis případu začíná vstupním kineziologickým vyšetřením včetně anamnézy, dále navazuje popis jednotlivých terapií se zavedenými postupy a opatřeními, výslednou cvičební jednotkou a dále výstupním vyšetřením popisujícím změny oproti počátku terapie. Cílem této práce je prostřednictvím teoretické práce uvést danou problematiku do kontextu, a prostřednictvím praktické práce popsat vedení terapie dané pacientky či možné způsoby pojetí terapie u pacientů s podobnými klinickými příznaky.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on dysfunction in the cervical spine and its associated symptoms. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy and kinesiology of the cervical spine and the structures that, due to their location or tissue connection, mutually influence the cervical spine. Following that, common physiotherapeutic diagnoses associated with vertebrogenic pain syndromes are listed, with examples of structural pathologies, both degenerative and traumatic. The next part describes movement stereotypes that directly affect the condition of the cervical spine, their harmfulness and possibilities of modification. Examination procedures and possible forms of therapy are mentioned briefly. The practical part is in the form of a case study of a patient with an indication for rehabilitation for pain in the cervical spine and frequent headaches up to migraine symptoms. The case description begins with an initial kinesiological examination including anamnesis, followed by a description of individual therapies with established procedures and measures, the resulting exercise unit and finally an output examination describing the changes compared to the beginning of therapy. The aim of this thesis is to use the theoretical part to put the given problem into context and, using the practical part, to describe the management of therapy for the given patient or possible ways of approaching therapy for patients with similar clinical symptoms.
