Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je věnována tématu tradičních dezertů a jejich návaznosti na cestovní ruch. Cílem je zjistit povědomí veřejnosti a znalosti o tradičních sladkých jídlech, posoudit jakou roli nesou dezerty v různých kulturách a zjistit, zda je gastronomie u široké veřejnosti motivací pro cestovní ruch. Teoretická část pojednává o tradičních dezertech devíti evropských zemí. K jejímu zpracování byla využita odborná literatura, stejně jako čerpání z internetových stránek a odborných článků. Výzkum v analytické části byl založen na sběru primárních dat ve formě dotazníku. Jako podpůrné důkazy byla shromážděna sekundární data, která byla následně analyzována a porovnána. Výsledky ukázaly, že konzumace dezertů je úzce spjata s kulturou. Gastronomie je pro širokou veřejnost jedním z motivátorů pro cestování. Existuje souvislost mezi znalostí tradičních dezertů a skutečností, že dotyčná osoba danou zemi navštívila. Tato práce primárně slouží jako prostředek k rozšíření osobních obzorů a poskytuje komplexní informace týkající se této specifické oblasti, jakou dezertní turismus nepochybně představuje. Výsledky této studie však mohou být užitečné pro restauratéry při určování složení jejich jídelního lístku nebo pro organizátory food festivalů, aby zvážili začlenění některých tradičních dezertů, čímž by lidem umožnili vyzkoušet tradiční kuchyně různých zemí. Za sekundární účel této bakalářské práce lze tedy považovat zlepšení služeb v odvětví gastronomie.

Abstract:

The Bachelor’s thesis is dedicated to the topic of traditional desserts and its connection to tourism. The aim is to ascertain public awareness and knowledge of traditional sweet meals, assess the importance of desserts in different cultures, and find out if gastronomy is a motivator for tourism among the general public. The theoretical part deeply analyzes traditional desserts of nine European countries. The usage of specialized literature was required, so was the utilization of Internet websites and technical articles. The research in the analytical part was based upon collection of primary data in the form of a questionnaire. As supporting evidence secondary data was gathered, analysed and compared with. The results have shown that dessert consumption is tightly linked to culture. Gastronomy is one of the motivators for traveling, and there is a connection between the knowledge of traditional desserts and the fact that the person has visited the country. This thesis primarily serves as a means of broadening personal horizons and provides comprehensive information concerning such specific area as dessert tourism unarguably is. However, the results of this study may be helpful for restaurateurs when determining the composition of their menu, or to organizers of food festivals to consider incorporating some traditional desserts, and thus enable people trying out traditional cuisines of different countries. Therefore, the secondary purpose can be considered as to improve services in the gastronomy sector.
