The influence of the drama in education on the social climate in classroom

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je nalezení souvislostí mezi uplatňováním dramatické výchovy v rámci školní výchovy a vzdělávání a změnou sociálního klimatu školní třídy. Ke zkoumání této problematiky byly použity metody pedagogického výzkumu. Práce má dvě hlavní části teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části je představena nejprve dramatická výchova. V úvodu se nastiňuje její historický vývoj od středověku až po současnost, vymezuje se její pojem, cíle v psychosociální oblasti jedince, obsah, principy a základní formy. Ve vztahu k dramatické výchově jsou akcentovány osobnostní a profesně odborné kvality učitele jako řídícího činitele dramaticko výchovných aktivit. Druhá polovina teoretické části seznamuje s problematikou sociálního klimatu ve školní třídě a podrobuje tento psychosociální jev hlubší analýze po stránce teoretické i metodologické. Klade důraz především na faktory, které jej determinují, osobnost žáka, osobnost učitele a klima školy. Empirickou část tvoří výzkumné šetření sociálního klimatu šestých tříd základních škol, které proběhlo v tříměsíčním časovém rozmezí. Výzkumný vzorek tvořilo 119 žáků ze šesti školních tříd. Ve třech třídách byla uplatňována dramatická výchova ve výchovně vzdělávacím procesu a v dalších třech nikoliv. Vybraní žáci prostřednictvím standardizovaného dotazníku Naše třída vyjadřovali svůj pohled na klima ve vlastní třídě. Preferovaná forma dotazníku (MCI-P) zkoumala, jaké si žáci přejí třídní klima mít. Po 14 dnech byla žákům zadána aktuální forma dotazníku (MCI-A), která zjišťovala, jak žáci třídní klima vnímají aktuálně. U obou forem dotazníku byly sledovány tyto proměnné: spokojenost, třenice, soutěživost, obtížnost v učení a soudržnost. Výsledné hodnoty byly srovnávány pomocí statistických metod. Práce vychází z odborných publikací a výzkumné činnosti českých i zahraničních pedagogů a psychologů.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find connection between application of drama in education in the context of primary education and a change of social climate in a school class. Methods of pedagogic investigation were used to inspect these problems. The thesis has two main parts: The theoretical and the empiric part. The theoretical part consists of two chapters. First chapter introduces drama in education. It speaks of historical development of drama in education since the Middle Age, of the defining of its conception, of its aims in psycho-social profile of an individual and of its principles and basic forms. Personal and professional qualities of the teacher as a leading factor of educational activities are put forward in connection with drama in education. Second chapter of the theoretical part presents the problems of social climate in a school class and deeply analyzes this psycho-social phenomenon in theoretical and methodological field. It lays stress mainly on factors, which determine this phenomenon personality of a student, personality of a teacher and overall climate at school. The empiric part consists of investigation of social climate in school class. The subjects of this investigation were 119 students of 6th classes on primary schools who were monitored over three months. In three of six classes there were applied methods of drama in education while in the others were not. Selected students uttered their opinion over climate in their own class using standardized form of question blank Our class. Preferred form of the questionnaire (MCI-P) tried to find out what an ideal climate in the class looks like (in the point of view of the students). Two weeks later, actual form of the questionnaire (MCI-A) was used to record how the students feel the actual climate in the class. The findings were compared using the statistic methods. Their interpretation and practical use can be found in the final part of the thesis. The thesis is based on subject publication and on the research work of Czech and foreign educators and psychologists.
